Here’s the graduation speech everyone is raving about. Jim Carrey in all his glory with the next generation of graduates at Maharishi University of Management. He runs us through finding his passion and how he’s gotten to where he is now. A few of my favorite moments from the video (aside from when he tells us it’s okay to eat our feelings with soft-serve ice cream) are:
“So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality.”
“To find real peace, you have to let the armor go. Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world.”
“The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.”
Mr. Wright is not only an amazing physics teacher but an amazing dad. From his goofy humor to his exciting experiments he keeps students intrigued in the world of science. But it is his story that is truly enlightening. He is truly an individual who cares enough about students to help them succeed not only in school but in life. And it is here that he tells them of his challenges in becoming a dad.
“If you aren’t in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?”
― T.S. Eliot
This video documented by NY Times story entitled “Wright’s Law” follows Jeffery Wright, a Louisville high school teacher. The post can be viewed at: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/24/laws-of-physics-cant-trump-the-bonds-of-love/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0

This clip may be old but it’s still hilarious. Also, Ellen’s pretty fantastic as well.

This is Duncan Lou. He’s an adorable Boxer who was born with severely deformed rear legs that had to be removed. He’s captured the hearts of millions on this regular day at the beach as he takes off without his wheelchair.
If you know a dog lover who would love Duncan as much as we did, please hit share.
